About The Club

Real Bedford Wixams was founded from Wixams Wanderers FC, who were formed in 2013 with just one team and became the first football club based in the Wixams community. From those beginnings, the club continued to grow year on year, reaching the 2025/26 season with 22 youth teams and one adult team, with the vast majority of players coming from Wixams and the surrounding local community.

Following the merger in 2025/26, Real Bedford Wixams was created with a clear vision: to build a football club that serves the Wixams community at every level and provides a genuine pathway into our adult first teams.

From the youngest mini-soccer players taking their first steps on the pitch, through to adults competing at Step 3 of the FA Pyramid — we are one club.

Our structure is built around the principle of player development. Players who join us as children at grassroots level are supported through our Elite Youth pathway (EJA/JPL) and can aspire to progress all the way through to our adult teams, from the Bedfordshire County League through to the Southern League Premier Central at Step 3 of the FA National League System.

We are also proud of our All Stars and Disability Team programmes, which ensure football is accessible to everyone in our community, regardless of ability.
